Boiler Service
A boiler service is a routine set of checks, inspections and tests that are performed to make sure that your boiler is working at maximum efficiency with no faults. Boiler service is heavily recommended by all boiler manufacturers and if you fail to get your boiler serviced on time, your warranty may be void.
Boiler service can only be carried out by Gas Safe Register engineers (like ourselves). You cannot carry out your own boiler service and once your professional inspection is complete, you should receive a boiler service certificate to prove that the service was carried out by a trained Gas Safe Register engineer.
The Boiler Service Process
If done properly, a full boiler service should include:
- An outer visual inspection.
- Checks on the boiler’s internal systems.
- Flue checks.
- Gas Pressure Testing.
- A full run-up test of the active boiler.
- A final report.
You must have a boiler service carried out on your boiler once a year. If your boiler is found to have faults, finding the problem in an annual inspection allows us to fix any issues before your boiler stops working.
Boiler Service can take anywhere from 30 minutes up to an hour. It is important that we perform thorough tests on each element in your boiler, so a longer inspection may be required if we find several faults with your boiler.
